‘babe’
I hate people calling me ‘babe’.
I could probably get used to it if it was a partner or something saying it, but in any other case, I almost find it offensive. I can only tolerate so much ‘babe’.
It is so impersonal. What does it even mean anyway?
I’d prefer to be called my own name, any day.

Ditto. Also I find guys use “babe” when they’re sucking up to me. Also from experience, older guys tend to use “honey”.

I don’t like the infantilising aspect of it. I’ve always thought it was weird and never understood how other people thought it was so normal.

sort of pet name. Babe, sweetie, hunny, etc. Ethan knows to never call me anything like that.
